Route 25 Temporarily Closed In Newtown Due To Accident
The accident was reported Wednesday morning, and has since been cleared.
NEWTOWN, CT — Route 25 at Mile Hill Road in Newtown was temporarily closed early Wednesday following a crash in which a truck hit a utility pole, according to the state Department of Transportation.
Details of the crash were not immediately available, but roads throughout the region were treacherous Wednesday due to surfaces receiving a coating of icy rain.
In addition to the Newtown crash, Interstate 84 in Southbury was temporarily closed Wednesday due to crashes, as was a portion of Route 8 in Trumbull, and another portion of Route 8 in Naugatuck.
