Utility Pole Falls On Car After Crash Causing Fire: Newtown PD
BREAKING: The road is set to be closed for an extended period of time.

NEWTOWN, CT — A fiery crash has forced the closure of Rte. 25 at Cold Spring Road for the next several hours. Police said a driver trying to pass a pickup truck struck a utility pole and broke it in half, which caused the broken portion to land on another car and started a fire.
The driver of the second car was able to make it out of the car and was released by Newtown EMS personnel. The driver of the car that struck the utility pole was transported to the hospital for a head injury.
The road is expected to remain closed until Saturday.
