The Saints To Deliver Decades Of Danceable Hits At Newtown Summer Concert Series
The Saints bring classic and modern hits to the Newtown Summer Concert Series July 17 at 6:30 p.m.
NEWTOWN, CT — The Newtown Summer Concert Series continues Thursday, July 17, with a performance by The Saints, a high-energy band known for delivering crowd-pleasing covers from the 1950s through today. The free show begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Dickinson Memorial Bandshell at 50 Elm Drive and Brushy Hill Road.
Formed in 1989, The Saints are a six-piece group that blends strong vocal harmonies with jazzy horn arrangements. Their set list spans generations and genres, covering artists such as Bob Marley, Marvin Gaye, Van Morrison, and Santana. The band is known for getting audiences dancing or singing along, offering something for music fans of all ages.
The Newtown Summer Concert Series, sponsored by Newtown Parks & Recreation and Claris Construction, takes place every Thursday evening through July 31. A rain date is scheduled for Aug. 7. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and picnics for an enjoyable night of live music under the stars.
