This Week: Renegades Rally, Seussical, Unity Riders

A look ahead at what's going on in Newtown.

Kids, adults, sports fans, theatre lovers: this is a great week for everyone to get out and enjoy Newtown. Take a look at some highlights at the week ahead:

Rally for the Renegades: Come support the World Series-bound Newtown Renegades with a fundraiser at Holy Cow Ice Cream! Players will be on hand to serve ice cream. Starts at 11:00 a.m.

Unity Riders Visit Newtown: Riders from the Dakota tribe arrive in Newtown at noon Monday for a ceremony at the Second Company Governor's Horse Guard. Come early for this historic event.

Summer Jam: Zak Morgan entertains all ages with folky, funny songs as this kid's concert series continues. Starts 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Summer Concert: My Dad's Truck brings country, bluegrass and other American sounds (with a worldwide twist) to the Dickinson Park summer concert series. Starts 6:30 p.m Thursday.

Seussical: The first performance of the 12/14 foundation's production starts 7:00 p.m. Friday at Newtown High School. Read Patch's article for more details.
