20 Cows Killed In Newtown Tractor-Trailer Rollover: Report

The crash shut down the Exit 10 ramp on the west side of I-84 beginning around 3:30 a.m.​

NEWTOWN, CT — Twenty cows riding in a tractor-trailer are dead after the vehicle rolled over near an Interstate 84 exit ramp early Thursday morning, WFSB is reporting.

Fourteen cows died and six more had to be euthanized, according to state police.

The driver of the rig carrying 44 cows suffered no injuries, Sandy Hook Volunteer Fire & Rescue firefighters posted on Facebook.
