All Lanes Of I-84 East Back Open In Newtown After Semi Jackknifes

CTDOT announced the roadway was back open at around 1 p.m. Friday, noting there is still some congestion between exits 8 and 10.

NEWTOWN, CT — The Connecticut Department of Transportation all lanes of I-84 East are back open in Newtown after a semi truck jackknifed Friday morning.

CTDOT announced the roadway was back open at around 1 p.m. Friday, noting there is still some congestion between exits 8 and 10.

CTDOT first reported the issue around 10:30 a.m. Westbound lanes were also closed for some time.
