WEATHER UPDATE: When Will the Windswept Soaking Rains Begin This Weekend?
The National Weather Service is forecasting heavy rain, possible thunderstorms, and gusty winds this weekend.

This weekend is looking to be an almost complete washout with windswept soaking rains and possible thunderstorms forecast beginning mid-afternoon on Saturday, intensifying in the evening hours, and tapering off by early afternoon on Sunday.
Mixed in will be some fog and, of course, the chance of the thunderstorms, the National Weather Service predicts. There is no mention of the word sun in the latest weather update.
Before it’s all over we’re looking at between 1-2 inches of rain statewide and possibly up to three inches in Hartford and Tolland counties where a “Hazardous Weather Outlook” already has been issued.
