The appearance is part of the show's nod to Teacher Appreciation Week.
NEWTOWN, CT — A former teacher at the Sandy Hook Elementary School will be competing on one of the nation's most famous game shows this week, reports the News Times. Kaitlin Roig-DeBellis will join the show as a contestant this week as apart of the show's nod to Teacher Appreciation Week.
Roig-DeBellis will appear on the show to raise money for her nonprofit social network Classes4Classes, founded following the events of 12/14. The former teacher had locked her helf and 15 students in a bathroom during the shooting.
She appeared in a widely-viewed interview with Diane Sawyer after 12/14, and also penned a book recounting her experience entitled "Choosing Hope: Moving Forward From Life's Darkest Hours."
