Woman Accused of Biting Newtown Police Officer

The 25-year-old Sandy Hook woman allegedly became combative as officers tried to arrest her for driving under the influence.

A Sandy Hook woman is accused of biting a Newtown police officer, reports the News-Times.

Rachel Rowan, 25, was determined to be driving under the influence of alcohol and during her arrest, she became combative and bit one of the officers.

She was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, assault of a public safety personnel, and interfering with an officer. She was held on $1,000 bond.
