NORTH STONINGTON, CT — Town officials officially welcomed Aleia’s Gluten Free Foods to North Branford with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Aleia’s is a maker of certified gluten-free baked goods for the retail, commercial, and food service markets. According to Town Manager Michael Downes, founded in 2008, Aleia's is a woman-owned leader in the U.S. market, known for its high-quality gluten-free products. He noted that Aleia’s specializes in breadcrumbs, panko, coatings, stuffings, and croutons. Their new manufacturing facility allows them to produce four times the capacity of their old facility, he added.
"Owner Kim Snow and her husband Jim have spent an enormous amount of time and resources converting this former industrial space into a state-of-the art food manufacturing facility," Downes said. "It was amazing to hear about their journey and determination, and we couldn’t be happier to partner with them to make North Branford their new home."
