Branford Woman, 82, Dies From Injuries In North Branford Crash: Police
The woman, who was driving one of the two vehicles involved, was one of three people seriously hurt, the two others remain hospitalized: PD
NORTH BRANFORD, CT — An 82-year-old Branford woman has died from injuries she sustained in a serious crash on Foxon Road in North Branford Wednesday afternoon, according to police.
North Branford Chief of Police James Lovelace reported "with deep sympathy" that Diane Golia, who was driving one of the involved vehicles involved in the 3 p.m. crash near Doral Farms Road, succumbed to the injuries sustained in the collision. "Our heartfelt condolences go out to the Golia family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time."
The driver operator of the second vehicle and a passenger remain listed in serious condition at Yale New Haven Hospital. This accident remains under active investigation, with the assistance of the New Haven State's Attorney’s Office.

At around 3 p.m. Wednesday, the North Branford 911 center received multiple calls for a motor vehicle accident with injuries on Foxon Road near Doral Farms Road, police shared on Facebook.
North Branford police and firefighters responded to the crash scene. Three were transported from the scene with significant injuries, police said. One person had to be extricated from the vehicle, police said.
Police said the accident is currently under investigation.
"We are thankful for all first responders, including the members of our volunteer fire department. We are also thankful for AMR who provided mutual aid assistance," police wrote.
Witnesses, and anyone with information concerning this accident, is asked to contact investigating officer Pane at 203-484-2703.
