Local Crafters Come Together For Our Town Food Pantry

Crafters from across CT are busy creating for the next Crafters Care Event, taking place on Saturday, Sept 24, 2022 from 10am to 2pm at Doody's Totoket Inn Restaurant in North Branford. Kim Mucha, who runs Crafters Care Events, is organizing her 4th event to raise money and awareness for The Food Pantry of North Branford. In addition to over 55 artisans selling their handmade items, shoppers can purchase tickets for $1.00 each for the raffle tables, which boast over 55 baskets from the crafters as well as local businesses. Mucha is also promoting the MEGA Basket, which is a basket of gift cards and services donated from area businesses such as Supreme Seafood, Big Y North Branford, Rain Wellness Spa and so many more. Entries for the MEGA basket are $5.00 each and can be purchased by contacting Mucha on Facebook or in person the day of the event. As of now, the basket contains over $1500 in gift cards and continues to grow right up to the event date.

Mucha, a Northford resident, chose to help The Food Pantry of North Branford as a way of giving back to her community. She learned about the pantry by volunteering and made it her mission to assist them and her neighbors that rely on the pantry for help in meeting daily needs.

Mucha is looking forward to growing Crafters Care Events, and has two additional events scheduled for 2022 - one taking place on November 13th at Millpond Gatherings in North Branford and one at The Library Wine Bar and Bistro on December 11th.
