NORTH BRANFORD, CT —In 2023, the North Branford Town Council set aside a $50,000 fund from the federal American Rescue Plan Act to be made available to local non-profits adversely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

During its last regular meeting in December, the Council approved eligibility standards, an application form, and process to allow these nonprofits to apply for and receive funding.

“Many local nonprofits which have critical missions had their ability to raise funds or perform their functions hampered or halted by the COVID-19 pandemic,” Town Manager Michael Downes said. “The Town Council wants to offer support to those non-profits that have been impacted by COVID-19 and assist them in their missions.”
