St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, the White Church on the Hill in the Heart of Northford, is offering the opportunity for quiet prayer and contemplation, and, if you would like, lighting prayer candles. Beginning April 1st, the Church will be open every Tuesday from noon to 1:00 for our parishioners, our friends, family, neighbors and community for individual prayer. This is in addition to our usual Sunday 10 a.m. worship services. Christians world-wide light prayer candles as a symbolic act to represent Jesus Christ as the "Light of the World." The act of lighting a candle in prayer can be seen as a way to dedicate our intentions and devotion, particularly in moments of need, in gratitude, or in seeking guidance. All Are Invited and Welcome! 1382 Middletown Ave. Any questions contact Nan Monde 203-710-7005.
