Poppy‘s restaurant has been serving North Branford for over 52 years. Within our 52 years of business, Poppys restaurant has never been closed  for more than a day or two. Not only did the shut down devastate and affect us. It also affected our customers.. over the years we have built a strong rapport with our customers in the community of North Branford with that being said we’re happy to report that we are now back in business and look forward to seeing you all each, and everyone of you were truly missed.

WETHERSFIELD, CT — Two goals in an 83-second span of the second quarter proved to be all the North Branford High School field hockey team needed to secure its fifth state championship, as the Thunderbirds blanked Stonington 2-0 in the Class S finals Saturday at Joseph Cottone Field at Wethersfield High School. After a scoreless first quarter, North Branford got on the board just over three minutes into the second period on a goal by Olivia Toto, assisted by Mia Oliverio. Less than a minute and a half later, Oliverio found the back of the cage, with an assist from Payton Kamienski. The Thunderbirds captured state gold for the first time since 2017.
