2 Arrested In Shoplifting Incidents In North Haven: Police
Police said they are "cracking down on thefts of all kinds, including so-called 'minor' or 'petty' larcenies" in North Haven.
NORTH HAVEN, CT — Two men were arrested Monday on arrest warrants in connection with recent shoplifting cases in North Haven, according to police.
A 29-year-old New Haven man was arrested April 21 on a charge of sixth-degree larceny in connection with the theft of several items from Target, according to police.
A 39-year-old Branford man was also arrested on a charge of sixth-degree larceny. Police said the arrest was in connection with the theft of several items from Big Y.

Police said the incidents were unrelated and occurred in late March and early April.
“A critical piece in the exchange of payment for good and/or services, is PAYMENT,” police wrote in a post on Facebook. “We’re cracking down on thefts of all kinds, including so-called ‘minor’ or ‘petty’ larcenies. We will be increasing patrols, reviewing surveillance, and workings with businesses and residents to identify and arrest those responsible. If you’re caught stealing, expect charges.”
