Armed Carjacking Reported At Business: North Haven Police
One suspect "fired the handgun inside the vehicle while forcefully pulling the driver out of the vehicle," police said.
NORTH HAVEN, CT — Police are investigating an armed carjacking at a local business on Friday evening.
At 5:25 p.m. Friday, police responded to a business off of Montowese Avenue for the report of an armed carjacking with a handgun used.
"The victim was an Uber driver who drove the two suspects to the business," police said. "Once at that location one of the suspects brandished a handgun, and then fired the handgun inside the vehicle while forcefully pulling the driver out of the vehicle prior to driving away."

"Shortly after communicating the description to area agencies, West Haven Police notified us they were pursuing the vehicle due to the occupants committing an armed robbery in their town," police said. "The suspects fled from West Haven Police, but the vehicle was later located. The two suspects were identified, the vehicle was processed by police for evidence and a search warrant was served at the suspect’s apartment by detectives and SWAT. Both individuals were taken into custody on the West Haven Charges. North Haven will continue our investigation and pursue arrest warrants for the 20-year-old, and 17-year-old suspects."
