Dog Killed In Hit-And-Run Crash: North Haven Police

Police are seeking the public's help to find the person who hit the animal, authorities said.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — A dog was struck and killed in a hit-and-run Sunday morning in North Haven, according to police.

The animal, a 2-year-old black German Shepherd, was hit around 7:40 a.m. in the 1600 block of Hartford Turnpike by a white Ford pickup or SUV that was heading north and did not stop, police said. The vehicle likely has front-end damage, according to police.

Anyone with information about or video of the crash is asked to contact Officer Capozzo at 203-239-5321 ext. 262, police said, adding callers may remain anonymous.
