Dollar General Opening New Store In North Haven

NORTH HAVEN, CT — A new Dollar General store is coming to North Haven, First Selectman Michael Freda announced over the weekend.

Freda said in a post on Facebook that the national retailer will be opening at 356 Washington Avenue in North Haven.

The grand opening is expected to be in the spring, according to Freda.

Dollar General has more than 19,000 stores nationally and has been named a Fortune 500 company, according to Freda.

“This retailer will feature a wide variety of consumer products across many different categories,” Freda wrote in the post on Facebook. “Some of those many categories will include, grocery products, frozen foods, dairy products, healthy food categories, electronics, toys, seasonal items, school and office supplies, books, furniture accessories, feminine hygiene, beauty and skin care, men’s apparel and women’s apparel.”

Freda said that he will be announcing more new businesses coming to North Haven over the next few months.
