2 Charged In Gas Station Robbery In North Haven: PD

The robber brandished a knife during the incident this past summer, according to police.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — Two people have been arrested in connection with a knifepoint robbery at the Road Runner Gas Station, police said.

The robbery happened July 14, 2025 at the 1915 Hartford Turnpike business.

According to police, a suspect brandished a knife during the robbery, then fled on foot.

Police used a K-9 unit in an effort to track the robber, but further investigation showed the suspect later got into a vehicle to escape.

In a joint effort with police in Guilford and East Haven, investigators were able to identify a suspect and the vehicle used in the getaway, police said.

Police conducted multiple interviews and executed a search warrant at the suspect’s residence.

Police said the suspect, Joseph Quinn, 52, of East Haven, was charged on a warrant with criminal attempt to commit first-degree robbery, second-degree threatening, and first-degree conspiracy to commit robbery.

According to police, they identified Jennifer Selmquist, 48, as a co-conspirator and the owner of the vehicle used in the robbery. Selmquist was charged on a warrant with being an accessory, attempted first-degree robbery and conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery.
