Officials said the first fire unit arrived at the scene 3 minutes after dispatch and found a car on its side with the “occupant suspended by their seatbelt and trapped inside the car.”
“The utility pole was broken in half and the car was holding it up over the car creating a serious electrical hazard to both the occupant and responders,” officials wrote in a post on the North Haven Fire Department’s Facebook page. “Fire personnel stabilized the car, utilized rescue tools to gain access to the occupant, and removed her from the vehicle for medical care.”
