The Police Chief said he'll seek more police officers in next year's budget request.
NORTH HAVEN, CT — Chief Kevin Glenn told members of the Board of Police Commissioners at its Oct. 24 meeting that he will be seeking more officers in next year's budget, according to meeting minutes.
"Due to the recent rise in vehicular burglaries, Chief Glenn has increased staffing overnight to cover the time period when most of these break ins are occurring," meeting minutes state. "Chief Glenn stated in prepping for the next budget season, he is going to ask for funding for more police officers and asked the Board to support the request."
Glenn also said that one more officer has been assigned to the Traffic division. This will help with motor vehicle accidents, funeral escorts and traffic enforcement, according to meeting minutes.
