Growing Food Pantry Leases Space In North Haven
Local agents helped the charitable organization find and lease the space for a "timely and important project," according to realtors.
NORTH HAVEN, CT — A local non-profit organization has leased a 2,000-square-foot space to expand its growing food assistance program, realtors announced Friday.
Senior Commercial Associates Chris Nolan and Dave Melillo recently represented and assisted the charitable organization “find and lease a flex industrial space in North Haven for a timely and important project,” according to Barbara L. Pearce, Chair and CEO of Pearce Real Estate.
Nolan and Melillo represented the tenant, Nutrition Security Solutions, Inc., in the leasing of a 2,000-square-foot space at 7 Corporate Drive to “expand its rapidly growing food assistance program,” according to a news release.

NSS, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to food-insecure elderly and disabled residents in the Greater New Haven area.
Janie Ouellette of Coldwell Banker Realty represented the landlord, Saldamarco Properties, LLC.

According to Nolan and Melillo, NSS, Inc. will use the space as a “food pantry, which stores and distributes, by scheduled delivery only, food supplies to elderly (and) disabled clients with special dietary needs.”
