Hamden Teen Injured in North Haven Crash

The two-car crash in North Haven near the Hamden line injured both the Hamden teen and the elderly woman driving the car he allegedly hit, according to police.

A 17-year-old Hamden teenager was seriously injured Monday when his car struck another car and then a utility pole at the intersection of Elm Street and Broadway in North Haven, according to police.

The teen, who hasn't been identified, suffered "life-threatening injuries," according to police, after emergency workers had to cut him out of his car, a Camero.

The 85-year-old woman driving the car he struck also was injured and taken to the hospital, according to police.

Police are asking that anyone who might have witnessed the accident to call them at 203-239-1616.
