Man Arrested After Loaded Gun Found At Movie Theater: North Haven PD
Police said employees found a bag with a loaded gun inside at the Cinemark movie theater in North Haven.
NORTH HAVEN, CT — A Guilford man is accused of bringing a loaded gun into the Cinemark movie theater in North Haven without a permit, according to police.
Police said employees found a satchel bag in a theater at Cinemark in July. The employees opened the bag looking to find an ID to identify the owner, but police said they found a loaded handgun.
Investigators identified Braulio Goyenechea, 39, of Guilford, as the owner, according to police.

Police said Goyenechea did not have a valid pistol permit.
Goyenechea was arrested Oct. 29 on a warrant and charged with carrying a pistol without a permit and carrying a dangerous weapon. He was released after posting a $50,000 bond with a court date of Nov. 7, according to state judicial records.
