Cadillac-Driving Bank Robbery Suspect Sought In Berlin: BPD
The incident happened on New Year's Eve, with the suspect traced to a home in North Haven, along with the suspect's vehicle.
BERLIN, CT — Local police are investigating an attempted New Year's Eve bank robbery in which the suspect was traced to a building in North Haven, along with his getaway Cadillac.
According to the Berlin Police Department, the incident happened at 10:03 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2025, at the Webster Bank branch at 40 Webster Square Road, Berlin.
Police said a male suspect, standing 6-feet-2-inches tall and weighing 240 pounds, entered the bank and handed the teller a note demanding money, threatening the use of a firearm.

The BPD did not indicate whether the suspect left with any cash or not.
The BPD said the suspect was seen leaving the area driving a 2020 gray-colored Cadillac CT6 with CT marker plate L01333L.

"The Berlin Police Investigations Division is actively working with the assistance of local, state, and federal law enforcement partners to investigate the robbery," wrote the BPD.
Police said two search-and-seizure warrants have been executed on a residence located in North Haven, with the suspect vehicle also located in North Haven.
