Man Arrested On Child Pornography Charges: North Haven Police

NORTH HAVEN, CT — A North Haven man was arrested Wednesday on child pornography charges, according to police.

North Haven detectives launched an investigation in May after receiving a CyberTip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), according to police.

Police said the tip reported a suspect, who was later identified by detectives as 21-year-old James Jaekle of North Haven, was downloading and sharing child sexual abuse material.

“After an extensive investigation, a residential search warrant was signed,” police wrote in a news release. “Connecticut State Police had also obtained an arrest warrant for Jaekle from a separate investigation for Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material in the 1st Degree.”

North Haven detectives secured an arrest warrant for Jaekle.

Police said the residential search warrant and two arrest warrants were executed on Wednesday, July 16 with assistance from Homeland Security, the United States Marshals, and the Connecticut State Police.

While serving the residential search warrant, police said 51-year-old Tina Degregario “became physically confrontational with Officers and attempted to obstruct the execution of the Search Warrant.”

Degregario was arrested and charged with interfering with a search warrant, according to police.

Jaekle was arrested by North Haven police and charged with third-degree possession of child sexual abuse material and promoting a minor in an obscene performance.

Jaekle was also arrested by North Haven police in October on a charge of third-degree possession of child sexual abuse material. He has yet to enter a plea in that case, and his next court date is Aug. 7, according to state judicial records.

North Haven police said Jaekle was also arrested Wednesday by Connecticut State Police and charged with first-degree child sexual abuse material.
