Man Charged With Home Invasion In 2nd Arrest Of Day: North Haven PD
A man accused of violating a protective order was arrested on several charges, including home invasion, later in the day, police said.
NORTH HAVEN, CT — A man accused of violating a protective order early Friday morning was arrested on several charges, including home invasion, later in the day, according to North Haven police.
Police responded around 7 a.m. on Feb. 7 to a home on the report of a family dispute that involved a potential violation of a protective order, according to police.
A 24-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident, police said. He was charged with second-degree burglary, first-degree stalking, and violating standing criminal protective order, according to state judicial records.

Police said he was held in lieu of a $25,000 bond and taken to court on Feb. 7 for arraignment.
Several hours later, around 2 p.m., police said officers were called back to the same residence. The man had returned to the residence, which he was prohibited from via a court order, according to police.

Police said while he was there, the man got into a fight with a juvenile family member and tried to leave with a vehicle at the residence. He was stopped in a vehicle nearby, while leaving the area, according to police.
The man was arrested on charges of home invasion, violation of conditions of release, larceny, robbery, burglary, assault, disorderly conduct, and interfering, according to police. He was initially held in lieu of a $350,000 bond that was then raised to $500,000 by a bail commissioner, according to police. He was taken to court on Monday morning for arraignment, police said.
