North Haven To Celebrate Earth Day With Community Cleanup
The Conservation Commission sponsored event is set for April 9 at North Haven High School.

North Haven celebrates Earth Day on Saturday, April 9 from 9 a.m. to noon at North Haven High School. The event will be sponsored by the North Haven Conservation Commission and will be held outdoors under the portico celebrating the environment and efforts to protect it.

Attendees will visit Christine Cummings with rehab raptors…A Place Called Hope, Where The Love Is Rescue Inc., will be showing rescue dogs for adoption, bees, NH Garden Club Junior Youth Group, NH public Works with giveaways, NH Fire Department, CERTS and recycling projects.
Tote bags and seed packets will also be given away. The North Haven Land Trust will sponsor a shredding truck on site from 9 a.m. to noon for a fee of $10 per box/bag.

Town wide CLEAN UP NORTH HAVEN will again be a feature of the day starting at 9 am. The NHCC has identified town parks, fields, trails and public areas for cleanup.
Town groups that have committed to sites include Leos, Interact, NHHS Key Club, North Haven Garden Club, Peter’s Rock, North Haven Trail Association and the North Haven Girl Scouts.
Additional volunteers are needed for Max Sinoway baseball fields, Sinoway Pond, Canna Park, Forest Grove Park, Gateway fields, Hanson Park, Pitch Pines and Grover Wyman Park.
Volunteers should meet at North Haven High School at 9 a.m. for area assignment along with gloves and bags pickup.
Residents and businesses are encouraged to clean up their properties and neighborhoods.
