North Haven Elementary School In 'Shelter-In-Place' For Medical Issue

Officials said students are safe inside the building, and emergency services responded for the medical need.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — Green Acres Elementary School in North Haven was placed in a “shelter-in-place” mode in order to handle a “medical situation” on Thursday morning, according to officials.

“Students are safe inside the building and emergency services have been dispatched to assist with the medical need,” officials wrote in a message sent to the school community.

The "shelter-in-place" was lifted around 10:45 a.m., officials said in an update.
