North Haven Proposed Budgets Mean Small Tax Increase

North Haven's proposed budgets would require a slight tax hike.

NORTH HAVEN--Residents would be paying slightly more in taxes under the proposed budgets for the upcoming fiscal year.

The New Haven Register reports that the tax rate would increase by one mill.

The proposed $44 million town budget and $51 million school budget represent a 3.5 percent and 4.4 percent increase over the current budgets, respectively, The New Haven Register reports. Currently, the town's budget is $42.5 million and the school's budget is $49 million.
