Pavement Management Study Announced In North Haven: What To Know

The detailed study will review the current condition of all town-owned roads, according to officials.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — The Town of North Haven is pleased to announce the start of a detailed pavement management study to review the current condition of all Town owned roads.

Funded through the South Central Regional Council of Governments (SCRCOG), the study will update our 2012 study, and provide key insights into the progress that the Town has made over the last decade in improving our infrastructure. The study will also help guide the Town on future investments in pavement management.

SCRCOG has selected BETA Engineers to perform the study. The field investigation portion of the task will be accomplished utilizing a state-of-the-art SUV equipped with LIDAR and photographic technology.

They will fully assess all Town owned roads to identify and evaluate pavement defects such as cracks, potholes, and failed pavement systems. The collected data will be processed utilizing cutting edge AI technology, specially trained on dozens of municipal roadway systems throughout the country.
