Red Lobster In North Haven Could Close Amid Bankruptcy Plan: Reports
The seafood restaurant chain revealed a list of more than 130 additional locations that could close amid the company's bankruptcy plan.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — Red Lobster in North Haven could be among the latest locations closed by the seafood restaurant chain if the company’s bankruptcy plan is approved, according to multiple reports, including WFSB 3.
Red Lobster filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in May as part of a strategy to recoup losses from its endless shrimp promotion that included the recent abrupt closing of more than 50 locations nationwide.
In addition to North Haven, Connecticut’s Red Lobster locations include Bridgeport, Danbury, and Wethersfield.

Red Lobster's bankruptcy was expected. Its "Ultimate Endless Shrimp" promotion last year was intended as a limited-time offer but brought in enough new customers that the chain added it to its permanent menu in June. Customers gobbled it up, and the chain reported fourth-quarter 2023 losses of $12.5 million, Bloomberg previously reported.
FOX 61 reports Red Lobster recently revealed in bankruptcy court documents a list of more than 130 additional locations it may want to close if it's unable to renegotiate their leases.

The Red Lobster at 320 Universal Drive North in North Haven was the only Connecticut location on the list.
