Retro-Style Restaurant Opening At Former Gas Station In North Haven

The restaurant will have outdoor entertainment, including bocce courts, live music, fire pits, retro games and more, according to the owner.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — North Haven resident Chris Allen is building a retro-style burger restaurant at a former gas station in town, according to The Connecticut Scoop.

Gas Burgers will be opening next year at 277 State Street in North Haven.

“This isn’t just a burger spot… it’s a whole VIBE,” according to a post on the Gas Burgers’ TikTok page.

Allen has been active on the page, providing regular updates, and has invited fans to have input on the future of the restaurant by voting on uniforms, menu items, and more.

The restaurant will have outdoor entertainment, including bocce courts, live music, fire pits, “retro games and backyard vibes,” according to the TikTok page.

Allen is also planning on eventually hosting outdoor movies, according to an update.

An earlier post on TikTok indicated that Gas Burgers would open in August or September, but Allen said in an update that he is eyeing an opening in early 2026.
