Man, 77, Fatally Stabbed, Suspect Charged, Held On $2M Bond: North Haven Police
A second person was also stabbed, police said.
NORTH HAVEN, CT — A 77-year-old man was fatally stabbed Tuesday evening and an arrest has been announced by police.
At 8:40 p.m. police were called to a Pleasant Drive address for the report of a domestic violence incident involving a stabbing, police said.
The first-arriving officer found a victim outside the home with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. It was then relayed that a second victim may be inside the home, police added.

"Officers immediately entered the home to look for additional victims and located a male who was suffering from several wounds, and had heavy blood loss," police said. "Patrol officers began searching for a 3rd individual believed to be the stabbing suspect. Officers located the suspect on a nearby street where he was taken into custody. Sadly, one of the victims, a 77-year-old man, died from the stabbing injuries."
The suspect, 40-year-old David Pagan of North Haven, has been charged with murder and first-degree assault. He was being held in lieu of a $2 million bond.

"This incident, which remains ongoing, involves family members, and is isolated," police said. "There is no threat to the public. We thank the New Haven States Attorney’s Office and Connecticut State Police Major Crimes Unit for their assistance."

Original post: NORTH HAVEN, CT — Police are advising residents that officers and detectives are investigating a “serious assault” that took in the Montowese section of North Haven.
“There is a large police presence in the area, and we expect to be there into the morning,” police wrote in a post on Facebook. “The incident appears to be between family members.
“There is no danger to the community.
“We will update with details when appropriate.”
