Shoplifter With 5 Outstanding Warrants Caught At Target: North Haven PD
Police said the suspect ran out of the rear fire emergency exit with a cart full of stolen items, where an officer was waiting.
NORTH HAVEN, CT — A shoplifting suspect who was wanted on five outstanding warrants in multiple towns was arrested Wednesday in North Haven, according to police.
Police responded around 2:20 p.m. on April 2 to Target on Universal Drive on the report of a known shoplifter in the store, according to officials.
“As police entered the front door, the suspect ran out the rear fire emergency exit with a cart full of stolen items,” police wrote in a post on Facebook. “Waiting outside the emergency door was a North Haven Police Officer.”

A 40-year-old East Haven woman was taken into custody and charged with sixth-degree larceny, according to police.
Police said the woman was charged with two other warrants in connection with thefts from businesses in North Haven.

She also had arrest warrants from Madison, Derby, and Newington.
