$86,000 Worth Of Construction Equipment Stolen In Norwalk: Police
Police said a Westport man was arrested in connection to the theft of about $86,000 in construction equipment from a site in Norwalk.

NORWALK, CT — A Westport man was arrested Friday in connection to the theft of approximately $86,000 in construction equipment from a site in Norwalk earlier this year, according to police.
In a news release, Police Sgt. Ryan Evarts said the department received a report of equipment stolen from a construction site on Connecticut Avenue in May.
According to Evarts, police identified Robert Pekar, 38, of Westport, as a suspect after a thorough investigation with assistance from the Monroe Police Department.

Officers arrested Pekar on a warrant Friday at his Westport home with the help of Westport police, Evarts said.
Pekar was charged with first-degree larceny and larceny of a motor vehicle.

His bond was set at $100,000 and he is scheduled to appear in court later this month, according to Evarts.
