Brand New Event Space With Speakeasy, Rooftop Views Set To Open In South Norwalk

NORWALK, CT — The Haven, a brand new turnkey event space with a wide range of distinct spaces that includes a speakeasy and a stylish rooftop area, is set to open later this year in the heart of South Norwalk.

Located at 16 N Main Street in the space formerly occupied by seafood restaurant The Pompano and Mexican kitchen and bar Evarito's, The Haven will be "made for effortless hosting" with catering and service exclusively provided by ONTHEMARC Events.

According to ONTHEMARC Director of Marketing Bella Carrara, the new event space will feature a spacious main floor that can accommodate up to 175 guests for a cocktail-style event, as well as a moody speakeasy, a fully equipped arcade, a cozy café and a rooftop with skyline views.

"Every corner of The Haven is designed to offer a new way to gather," Carrara said in an email to Patch, "whether you're hosting a wedding reception, birthday celebration or intimate cocktail party."

ONTHEMARC currently operates in a number of unique event spaces throughout Connecticut, including The Hangar at Danbury Airport and Autostrada in Westport.

Carrara noted The Haven is located in SoNo to offer both convenience and character to potential hosts and guests.

"With easy access from the train station and a walkable mix of restaurants, bars and waterfront views, the neighborhood enhances the guest experience," Carrara said, "making it easy to arrive, explore and keep the celebration going."

Work on the venue, which Carrara noted has been "thoughtfully transformed into a multi-level event destination," is currently in its final stages, with most spaces nearly complete.

The Haven is now available for bookings following its official launch, currently scheduled for Dec. 16.

Signs advertising The Haven "coming soon" and teasing a "rooftop, café, events" and more could be seen posted to the windows of the venue at 16 N Main Street this week.
