Bridge Inspection to Close a Lane on Broad Street Monday

The stretch of road, which is near the Walgreens store on Main Avenue, will have alternating, one-way traffic, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Bridge inspection work will close a lane on Broad Street near the U.S. Route 7 overpass from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, the Connecticut Department of Transportation has announced.

The department announced Friday afternoon that, as part of the state bridge inspection program, a stretch of the street will have alternating, one-way traffic on a section of the road between Pulaski Street and Mallard Road. Another bridge along that stretch of road takes Broad Street over the Norwalk River.
