Four Men Charged With Criminal Trespass After Attempted Car Break-In

Three juveniles and one adult were arrested for criminal trespass early Tuesday morning, according to police.

At about 1 a.m., a woman called police to report a suspicious person on Osbourne Avenue, police said.

She reportedly saw four men walking down the street trying to pull the handles of cars parked there and witnessed one of the men looking into the window of a car, according to police.

Police brought in suspects and the complainant was able to identify the four she had seen based off of their clothing, police said.

Tyreace Victor, 20, of 6 Pleasant St. in Norwalk, was arrested and charged for possession of less than four ounces of marijuana and criminal trespass in the third degree. His bond was set at $7,500 and his court date is scheduled for July 26, according to the arrest log.

A 15-year-old male, 16-year-old male and 14-year-old male were also charged with criminal trespass in the third degree, according to police.

The men told police they had been playing basketball together before attempting to break into the vehicles, police said.

Norwalk Police asked that people be sure to lock their cars and take valuables out of their cars to prevent theft.
