Greater Norwalk Chamber Of Commerce Issues Scam Alert To Businesses, Residents
The Greater Norwalk Chamber of Commerce is alerting Norwalk residents and the local business community about a recent phone scam.
NORWALK, CT — The Greater Norwalk Chamber of Commerce is alerting Norwalk residents and the local business community about a recent fraudulent phone scam targeting Norwalk-area companies and residents.
According to a news release provided by the chamber, scammers have been placing phone calls that appear to come from a Norwalk Chamber number, falsely identifying themselves as chamber representatives and soliciting money from unsuspecting residents and businesses.
The chamber emphasized that these calls are not legitimate.

"We want to make it absolutely clear: the Norwalk Chamber is not making these calls, and we would never solicit funds in this manner," CEO Shannon O'Toole Giandurco. "If you receive such a call, hang up immediately and do not provide any personal or financial information."
Local businesses and Norwalk residents are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the chamber directly at (203) 866-2521.
