June Anita Woods, 55, Stamford Native

June Anita Woods, age 55, died peacefully at Yale-New Haven Hospital after a long illness, with her mother at her side.  

Born in Stamford on October 25, 1957, she was the daughter of Brenda Mantie Ely of Norwalk and the late Richard B. Ely.  

Survivors also include her sister, Diane Harrick of Norwalk, nieces and nephews Kenzie June Harrick, Alyxie Diana Harrick, Bryant Lee Koziol, Dominick Robert Maraglino and Christopher Michael Maraglino, and her step-father Philip L. Michitsch.  In addition to her father, June is also predeceased by her sister Lee Carole Ely Maraglino.     

June’s family will receive friends at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk on Tuesday, July 2, from 5:30 to 8 PM with a celebration of her life at 7:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the June Woods Memorial Fund in care of her mother, Brenda Ely. For directions or to leave an online condolence, please go to www.magnerfuneralhome.com.
