MLK Day 2021: What's Open, Closed In Norwalk
Garbage and recycling will be collected as usual on Martin Luther King Jr. Day in the City of Norwalk.
NORWALK, CT — Martin Luther King, Jr. Day will be celebrated on Jan. 18th, marking the 35th year of observance of the federal holiday honoring the slain civil rights leader. While some in the region might have to work, most schools and government offices will take a break.
Here's what you can expect to find open and closed in Norwalk on Martin Luther King Jr. Day:
- Garbage/recycling collection: City of Norwalk will follow the regular collection schedule
- The Norwalk Transfer Station: Open
- The Yard Waste Site: Closed
- Norwalk Public Schools and offices: Closed
- City Hall: Closed
- Norwalk Public Libraries: Closed
- Banks: Most are closed
- U.S. Postal Service: Post offices will be closed and there will be no mail delivery.
