Norwalk COVID-19 Test Site Relocated To Shady Beach

Norwalk's COVID-19 testing site at Veteran's Park will be relocated to Shady Beach this week, according to city officials.

NORWALK, CT — The city's COVID-19 testing site at Veteran's Park will be relocated to Shady Beach beginning Wednesday, according to city officials.

In a statement, city spokesperson Josh Morgan said testing will continue to be available seven days a week with no appointment necessary at the new testing location.

Testing will take place weekdays from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. and weekends from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Gates open one hour before testing is scheduled to begin, and drivers are asked not to arrive any earlier, Morgan said.

Those seeking testing must access the site from Beach Road. Cars will queue in Shady Beach and Calf Pasture Beach as to not disrupt dismissal of Marvin School, Morgan said.

Due to limited testing capacity, the site may close early. Inclement weather may also impact testing operations, Morgan said.
