A Norwalk man was arrested for reportedly evading a motor vehicle accident Monday evening, according to police.
A woman had parked her truck at 8 Ridge St. to help a friend move when she reportedly saw a yellow van strike her truck and take off, according to police.
When an officer arrived and turned onto Cliff Street from Bouton Street, he reportedly observed a yellow van parked the wrong way on Paradiso Street and approached the van's driver, 39-year-old Jared Denny of 2 Paradiso St., police said.

Denny allegedly became agitated and claimed that someone else had struck his van and taken off. When the officer asked for a description of the vehicle that Denny was claiming had hit his van, Denny reportedly became more agitated, according to police.
At that point, Denny was handcuffed, and a photograph that a witness took of the reported incident on Ridge Street showed that the yellow van that had struck the truck looked the same as Denny's, according to police.
