The Norwalk Police Department Is Hiring

NORWALK, CT — The Norwalk Police Department is currently hiring, according to a recent social media post.

"We are accepting applications for Connecticut certified, out-of-state certified, and entry-level police officers. If you're looking to serve a diverse and growing community, now is the time to apply," the Norwalk Police Department said on Facebook.

The application deadline is Dec. 31, 2025, according to the department.

The department also provided the following information regarding applicants:

Connecticut Certified Officers

• Must have 2 or more years of certification (from completion of FTO and POSTC requirements).
• Must be in good standing with their current agency.

Out-of-State Certified Officers

• Must have 2 or more years of certification.
• Must be in good standing with their current agency.

Entry-Level Applicants

• Must be 21 years of age by the date of appointment.
• Must meet all minimum qualifications posted on PoliceApp.
