Police Release Suspect Photo from June Ice Cream Truck Robbery

Norwalk police are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect in the robbery of a Mr. Softy ice cream truck in June.

Norwalk police are on the look out for a suspect in the June robbery of a Mr. Softy ice cream truck, and the department is asking for the public's help in identifying him.

The suspect is described as a black man who stands about 6-feet to 6-foot-2-inches tall and weighs about 300 pounds. In surveillance images taken at a gas station moments after the June 14 incident, the suspect is seen wearing a dark shirt, a dark hat with a light-colored bill and a light-colored apron.

Police said the robber threatened to use a handgun in the attack, but he did not display one.

Anyone with information about the suspect are urged to call the Norwalk Police Detective Bureau at 203-854-3011. All information will be held in strict confidence.
