NSO Concert Epitomizes What's Good about Norwalk

As Mayor Rilling pointed out last week, cities across the US are enjoying a resurgence, and Norwalk is primed to take advantage of the trend.

Newcomers will find more to Norwalk than beaches, proximity NYC, restaurants and shopping.

As evidenced by Saturday night's turnout for the Norwalk Symphony Orchestra Holiday Sing-Along and Messiah Extravaganza, Norwalk also has a strong sense of community.  Mayor Rilling and State Senator Bob Duff greeted friends and well-wishers. Joan and Rick Setti, whose homemade Christmas Village has delighted Norwalkers for 25 years, made appearances as Santa and Mrs. Claus, taking Christmas wish lists from children before the show and giving out candy canes afterward. 

The message on the back of the concert program spoke of Norwalk pride: "Our City, Our Concert Hall, Our Orchestra." 

And, as NSO president Emil Albanese pointed out, the symphony is entering its 75th year, a milestone and a reflection of a proud tradition.
