Constable

Family:

Married, two adult children.

Does anyone in your family work in politics or government?

No.

Previous public office, appointive or elective:

Yes, Constable.

Why are you seeking this office?

I am running for constable because I believe in service, accountability, and fairness. The role of constable may not always make headlines, but it is an essential part of our justice system—ensuring that court papers are properly served, legal rights are protected, and the process runs smoothly. By serving with integrity, I can help make sure every Norwalker feels that the system works for them, not against them. This role is about trust, and I intend to honor that trust every single day.

The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ____, and this is what I intend to do about it:

The biggest issue I see is affordability. Too many families, seniors, and young people are struggling to keep up with rising housing costs, utilities, and everyday living expenses. When people can’t afford to stay here, it hurts our neighborhoods, our schools, and our sense of community.

What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

The biggest difference is that I treat the role of constable first and foremost as a position of service, not politics. This office isn’t about personal recognition—it’s about making sure the legal process in Norwalk is handled fairly, respectfully, and with integrity.

I bring experience, accountability, and a proven record of carrying out these duties with professionalism. I am approachable and accessible, and I believe residents deserve a constable who is responsive, trustworthy, and consistent.

Where others may see the position as just a title, I see it as a responsibility to the people of Norwalk. That commitment—and my dedication to fairness and respect in every interaction—is what sets me apart.

What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?

While the constable’s primary responsibility is serving the legal process fairly and efficiently, I also believe the role comes with a broader duty to our community. During this campaign, I intend to highlight three key issues:

Fairness and Transparency – Making sure residents understand their rights and have access to clear, respectful communication when dealing with the legal system.

Affordability and Accessibility – Advocating for a city where seniors, working families, and young people can continue to call Norwalk home. Even in a supporting role, I can ensure that enforcement and fees are applied fairly, without adding unnecessary burdens to residents.

Community Trust and Service – Being visible, approachable, and responsive so that residents know they can rely on their constable. This includes listening to concerns, addressing questions, and making the office more connected to everyday people.

Ultimately, my campaign is about showing that even in positions that may seem behind the scenes, we can build trust, strengthen community, and ensure that Norwalk is a place where fairness is more than just a word—it’s a practice.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

I have built my career and community involvement on responsibility, accountability, and service—qualities that are essential for a constable. In my past work, I have consistently handled sensitive matters with professionalism, confidentiality, and respect for all parties involved.

As a current constable, I have successfully carried out my duties with integrity, ensuring that court documents are served properly, deadlines are met, and residents are treated fairly in the process. This record demonstrates not only that I understand the responsibilities of the office, but also that I can be trusted to handle them consistently and effectively.

Beyond the job itself, my broader involvement in the Norwalk community shows my commitment to service. Whether working with local organizations, assisting neighbors, or supporting civic efforts, I have always focused on fairness and accountability. Those experiences—combined with my proven track record in this office—are the foundation of why I know I can continue to serve Norwalk well as constable.

What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?

The best advice I ever received was simple: “Always treat people with respect, no matter the circumstance.”

That advice has stayed with me throughout my life and guides how I approach this role. As constable, I often meet people at difficult or stressful moments. By treating every individual with fairness, dignity, and respect, I can ensure that the process is carried out professionally and with compassion.

It’s a reminder that public service is not just about following rules—it’s about how we treat one another.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

Yes. I want voters to know that my campaign is about service, fairness, and trust. The role of constable may not be glamorous, but it is important—it touches people’s lives when they are dealing with the courts, often during stressful times. My promise is to carry out these responsibilities with professionalism, respect, and compassion.

I also want residents to know that I love Norwalk. This city is my home, and I am deeply committed to its future. My positions are guided by a simple principle: government should work for the people, not against them. Whether it’s ensuring fairness in the legal process, being accessible to the community, or supporting efforts to keep Norwalk affordable and welcoming, my focus will always be on serving everyday residents.

Above all, I want voters to feel confident that when they choose me, they are choosing someone who is accountable, dependable, and dedicated to doing the job the right way.
