Yes - Appointed to Board of Estimate&Taxation; appointed to Norwalk Housing Authority Board; Elected to Board of Education At Large in 2021.
Why are you seeking this office?
I'm running for the Board of Education because I believe every child deserves access to a high-quality, equitable education — and I want to be a strong advocate for students, families, and educators in our community.

The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is making sure they have access to critical information and increased communication and outreach.
What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
As a former employee of the school district, I have institutional knowledge. At the same time, having served as a Board of Education member for the past 4 years, I understand the issues, concerns. During my time on the board, I have led efforts to improve student achievement; increase graduation rates and reduce discipline actions.
What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?
Create a better understanding of the budget process and ensure that parents and the community are aware of the accomplishments.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
As I indicated earlier, during my tenure, we see improved student outcomes in areas that parents and families are concerned about - including growth in academic achievement, improved graduation rates, and a reduction in chronic absenteeism.
What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
Listen more than you talk.
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
Currently, I serve as program director for a Stamford based non-profit. Having served for 9 years as Public Affairs Officer for the Norwalk Public School district, it helped shape my steadfast support of public education. I am a fervent believer in providing the necessary tools to help cultivate our students into lifelong learners who are industrious, thoughtful, multi-faceted and productive stewards in a transformative world. A lifelong resident, I earned a Master's in Public Administration from Post University and earned a Bachelor's in Communications from Long Island University.
